After 35+ years in South Louisiana I was offered a position in Cosby, Tennessee and I've accepted. I'm not too familiar with the area but I've heard good things. Does anybody here have any knowledge they'd care to share?

It's not Louisiana so it's automatically better

You’ll be shocked at how the only things you miss are cheap crawfish and king cakes but nothing else

Live in Farragut, so not that far from you. Cosby is a small area but very close to Gatlinburg and Newport.
You'll like it.

Hopefully there's not some shite in the water that will make you like be like TT9.
I'd stick with bottled water if I was you.

you will absolutely love it. i lived in Knox Vegas for a few years. i loved it. so close to alot of things. basically in the Smokies, trails, views, less democrats.
like someone mentioned, you will only miss crawfish. there is a place on kingston pike in knoxville that has crawfish. there are a good bit of former louisianians up that way.

Nah man, that level of retardation isn’t in the water, that’s in the blood.

The largest Cosby racial/ethnic groups are White (100.0%).
Population 521....soon to be 522. They'll have to update the sign.

Don’t know anything about Cosby itself but if it’s in East Tennessee and in the Smokies it’s going to be fantastic for outdoor living.
You still get heat in the summer but can at least cool off in the mountains a bit.

I’ve been in Chattanooga for 26 years now and love TN with no thoughts ever of moving back. I’ve never heard of Cosby but looks like it’s a bit East of Gatlinburg with Asheville NC a little further East. There are plenty of national parks and state forests all around you, it’s a beautiful area with lakes/hiking trails/camping, fishing. Good luck to you and your family
