Which Tiger will have a better NFL career in retrospect? Will Campbell or JaMarcus Russell

A little less pressure on Will Campbell because he was a later pick. However, JaMarcus was still able to start in Year 3.
When we look back in ten years, who will be the more successful Tiger in the NFL?

way too early to write Campbell off at this point
he was a rookie playing on the biggest stage
they can move him inside or over to RT and do other things to help him
not many veteran tackles would have held up against that Seattle defense the entire game and Seattle showed a lot of different looks
Russell got his $ and didn't even bother to learn the playbook

Campbell was playing well before he got hurt. He definitely needs to get stronger in the offseason, but he’s shown he’s willing to work.
Russell had All-Pro potential if he would’ve given a shite

How are you defining "success" in a question involving players at 2 very different positions?
Career longevity? If that's the case, then Campbell seems more likely simply because if he gets demoted to backup, he's probably still going to find work somewhere. Maybe he changes position.
Does anyone consider anything about Russell's career "successful"? The only "success" he had was being able to say he was a 1st overall and got paid alot of money.
Other than that, the dude is probably at the bottom of the list of Tigers in the NFL, and may be one of the biggest draft busts of all time.
ETA: there's an NFL.com story that has him as the #1 biggest bust in the Y2K Era.
Why is this even a question?

Stupid comparison. Campbell had an awful game which hopefully he’ll recover from and get better. Jamarcus didn’t give a shite and pissed his talent away to drink lean and make excuses

Short arms will be moved to the inside this upcoming season.

Russell never got embarrassed on the biggest stage…

if you define success as playing well
Campbell
is you define success by how much purple drink you can afford for as little work as possible
Russell

I look for will Campbell after is dreadfully embarrassing performance to either:
a) QUIT quietly and never be heard from again
b) Become a workout and (legal) PED animal to become barbarian enough seek vengeance upon all DEs and outside LBs and SB mockers.

I mean yeah… it’s not like he just normally lost, he fell flat on his face and became a punchline

This thread was already stupid to begin with.
This statement make my IQ drop.
Russell was never going to even have a winning season as a lead of a team. Of course he would never be "embarrassed" in a Super Bowl. That's stupid on its surface.
PS - It was obvious you could never embarrass Russel anyway, considering how lazy he was and the bullshite he pulled while getting paid millions.

He was only still starting because of the amount they had already invested in him. Put him on a rookie pay scale, even with a fully guaranteed rookie deal, and he's getting benched in Yr2 if not sooner.
