Amazing what Louisianans can do when they put their minds to it.

I’ve seen a few YouTube videos lately and am in awe of this great bridge. Anyone on here ever cross it or even commute it daily? What’s on the other side opposite from New Orleans? How do they clear crashes with only 2 lanes? Anyone ever gone over the rails and does it have gators?

So many questions…starting with how to pronounce Pontartrain.

It's a causeway to nowhere, just because.

For years it was the longest bridge in the world.

On hazy days you get near the middle and you can't see any land. It feels like you are crossing an ocean.

Maybe that was going on in the Pontalba apartment with Latoya and Vappie.

Vappie was pontratrain’ing Latoya on the city’s clock.

Pedophiles paradise. Seems like every month they are busting a pedophile ring or some elected official is being outed.

The charge to cross back to the south to try to keep the pedos up there.

It is weird that you would put those two words together.

Then again…

New Orleans isn't even on the one side of the Causeway. Goes from Metree to da Nort Shore, dahlin'.

Most would think itnis weird how the residents there just seem to ignore what is going on.

I have no reason to cross it. I have been across it maybe twice in my life. Why would anyone want to live in Covington? You have all the disadvantages of the NOLA area (bad weather, hurricanes, insurance, etc) with none of the advantages (historic architecture, parades, restaurants)

Plus who wants to be on the hook for six bucks a pop to cross the bridge? I’ll stick to the South shore, thank you very much
