Collateral by significant margin

Training Day for this scene alone.

Love both, but training day is more rewatchable for me

I’m going Collateral.
I will say Training Day has the best memes/gifs. And nudes on reddit.

This one actually makes sense as i think the movies are somewhat similar. Collateral for me but there is no wrong answer.

Probably about equal but training day is more rewatchable so I’ll use that as the tie breaker

Can't call it, both are awesome movies.

Same for me. Better movie, Denzel better performance. Though Cruise was fantastic in Collateral too.

Denzel is one of the best actors of the 21st century, but Collateral by 100 miles.
Michael Mann had the bright idea of taking a true psychopath in Tom Cruise and allowing him to be a psychopath on screen instead of forcing him to be a good guy is one of the most brilliant moves of his career.

I saw one of those "making of..." videos on Collateral and apparently Mann wrote this entire backstory of Vincent and how he became a sociopathic contract killer. It was like a book and included stuff like his second grade teacher ignoring other kids bullying him and all kinds of weird stuff. And Cruise had to learn all of it even though absolutely nothing about his character's past is in the actual movie. Mann apparently does this a lot and feels that it adds depth to the acting performance and character development.
