What realistic moves this offseason could get us to the Super Bowl next year

Let’s assume Shough is elite.
I think first we should sign the best guard possible. Re sign Fortner to solidify depth.
I’m signing Dallas Goedert to a 3 yr 33 mil deal.
I’d love to have Alontae and Demario back, Cam Jordan too.
I’m drafting Love at 8. I think he helps run and pass game and can create explosives.
I’d try to stack up on defense through rest of draft other than a guard in mid rounds.

Gimme Zach Charbonnet.
Bookmark this for next year. Dude is an absolute animal and even though he’s rehabbing, he looked better than the Super Bowl MVP when he’s healthy.
Also go get a moderately inexpensive tight end. I’ll take the either or both of the guys in Pittsburgh for different reasons. Washington, the 300 lb guy, or Jonnu Smith.
Add a guard, a mid tier WR, and the offense would be pretty solid.

For the offense
Give Shough a RB and a guard.
Either a WR or Great TE.
His beast friend will be a strong Run Game and a Checkdown TE.
Then on Defense. you need someone to disruptive on the D Line.
Need a LB that is fierce, then someone on the back end.

There are none

Zach is not a FA, but Walker is. I think they are willing to let Walker go and roll with Charbonnet themselves.
Edit:
When did Zach get hurt again? Iirc he may be out most of next season, so scratch that about letting Walker go if so.
Looks like sometime in October or November for him to return if all goes well, and then he'll need some time to get back up to speed.

Lots of dummies here think we are on the cusp of a championship because Shough played great against bottom of the barrel teams.
Próximo, the ****, on my dick in 3, 2,1....

We are two drafts away from being in Super Bowl contention
We lost by a combined score of 78-23 to the two NFC championship teams. Stop with this dumbass Super Bowl talk.
We have one elite player in Olave, and two potential elites in Shough and Banks. We need 3-5 more elite players and improvements at another 3-5 positions after that.

Shore up both lines, hit on high picks, get something for Carr, beef up receivers and secondary.

Look at the history of this team, last year, and realistically you'll KNOW it's not happening.

This speaks to how much talent this roster lacks. To be calling Olave elite is crazy.

A realistic goal for next year is winning our division and making the playoffs. That’s a good and realistic goal considering where we are. We need to continue to draft like we did this past season and the team will be much improved next year as in 9 to 10 wins.

maybe, maybe not. I hope every season we win it all. if we don't, it doesn't phase me as much as others here. I got to see my Fav team win a Superbowl, after being a fan since the early 80's - everything else is a bonus.
I get irritated at things like the Rams no call thing, but it doesn't affect me to the point i dwell on it or let it affect my enthusiasm to the next season. I also don't let it affect me to the point that is just gives me a negative outlook on the team/season constantly, like some on the forums.
life has enough ups, downs and stress to let a football game/season affect you to the extent it seems to with some of you.
and FWIW I am not singling you out with the statements. just stating my opinion to your reply, so please don't take offense

I agree with you re the Saints but I think you overate concentration of NFL talent. How many rosters are littered with elite players? Seattle, LA Rams, Philly (with a fraud at QB), Houston on defense. Maybe the Broncos on defense. Payton has done a masterful job on offense without much talent.
New England’s roster wasn’t close to Seattle and it showed on Sunday. Certainly showed when the Saints played Seattle.

Exchange rosters with the Seahawks?

Trying to make moves for next year is incredibly daft. Look at this years free agents then compare to next years free agents. There will be a lot of good players available next offseason.
We need to get our house in order and draft some young guys this year and next to build around long term. Then next year we can make a splash signing with a player like a Jon Runyun, Fulton, Kayvon Thibedeaux, Tavon Walker, Drake London, Michael Pittman Jr., etc etc.

Any number of realistic moves could get the Saints to the Super Bowl next year, if we define "could" as meaning "within the realm of mathematical possibility."

What kinda talent you think we have then? They have 2 all pro players on the line. And they gave us their #5-6 receiver who is our #2 right now. Their running back room is also better than ours
