STOUGHTON, Wis. (WMTV/Gray News) - A police department in Wisconsin used a drone to find a person it said was repeatedly defecating in a public park.
The Stoughton Police Department reported Thursday it received dozens of complaints about feces and used toilet paper found along a park’s walking path. Officials did not specify which park.
The department said it used drones and trail cameras to identify the suspect.
The department determined a pattern using the trail cameras and noted the person would defecate in the park during early morning hours.

Officers made contact with the person, identified as a 46-year-old woman, after a drone recorded her in the act.
The Stoughton Police Department said the woman is not homeless and that it believes she does not have mental health concerns.
“When we first learned of it, we thought it was going to be isolated,” Lt. Chad O’Neil of the Stoughton Police Department said. “But then with neighbors and users of the park continuing to call us to complain about it, I realized that it wasn’t going away.”
Lt. O’Neil said the suspect claimed to have used the bathroom at a certain time and location based on a personal pattern.
Imagine you're squatting in the park trying to drop a deuce in 20 degree weather and all of a sudden there's a drone zeroing in on you.

To be fair, I take a dump at roughly the same time every morning.
I tailor my schedule to make sure I'm near my toilet and not out for a walk though.

What is the world coming to when you can’t even take a dump without being watched.

Back before we lived under this oppressive surveillance regime, there was a serial shitter at Our Lady of Mercy. Door handles, coat rack areas and walls. He varied his modus operandi sufficiently to cover his tracks. They assumed he was letting the shite out of his pants leg, but the could not catch the perpetrator. He proved to be very elusive, and was dubbed, "The Phantom Shitter." It was like Jack the Ripper. Sure, the investigation resulted in a few suspects, but there was fear of how high-reaching the implications of an apprehension might bring. They never caught The Phantom. Some say he's still up to his old shenanigans.

Is there anything wrong with this?

Imagine how humiliating it must have been to have been wrongly accused.

There was a homeless woman I used to see often. I few times I saw her early in the morning sitting on the curb of a cutout where the roadway was built for a road or driveway to connect to the new construction, there was no backfill so it dropped off. This was a freeway frontage road so she was not being discreet. She would sit with her arse hanging over the curb and do her business. Strange to see for sure. Mental health or addiction was definitely affecting her.
