Yeah, they really blew this one. The first two seasons were great but then the KK factor set in. On top of that, it's been too long.

I get what they were going for with the Budweiser ad spoof.
I’m not the type of person who proclaims “worst thing ever!” on the internet all the time. But whoever is in charge of marketing this movie (and Star Wars in general) needs to be replaced asap. And I mean the whole department. It’s inexcusable how much meh this movie makes everyone feel.

Honestly, I’m not convinced the IP would sell for what Disney paid. It’s been a remarkable case study in how to mismanage something that valuable.

I thought it was a spoof.
I have no interest in the Mandalorian because I haven't seen it and don't have Disney+. Maybe the movie should have remained there instead of the theaters.

The commercial itself is fine. I would even say it's pretty whitty and COULD be a good ad for them. The issue is it's not what they needed, they needed something that could really grab people (especially those who are on the edge regarding seeing the movie, and those that aren't even aware there is a Star Wars movie coming out) and peak their interest in the movie. We've already seen the leaked trailer from Celebration that shows Mando dropping into the AT-AT and taking out the hallway of troopers, if they did some 30 second teaser (accompanied by a longer trailer online) around that hallway scene and then did that ad during a later commercial I think that would have hit it out of the park.

If you watched the television show you know it started off great and devolved into a stinky mess so you are not wild about their next offering. If you didn't watch the television show you will probably not have any desire to see the movie. This trailer doesn't help AT ALL. I hope they spent a lot of money on it.
