Is there anything Darnold can do tonight to change your perception?

Will 330 yards and 3 tds make you forget he’s been not worthy of the #3 pick?

He does have 28 wins the past two years and now a SB appearance.

It is a fun thought exercise that we still think of Darnold as some turnover prone bust no matter what he does, why is that?

Because we cling to draft placement and type?

The past two years he’s a throwback to 80-90s QBs like Elway and Favre. He wins but throws a bunch of picks in the process

Dude has done way more than many #3 overall picks, probably the majority.

So, yeah.

I thought him backing up last years breakout with a Super Bowl appearance already took the bust label off

I actually like Darnold, but he got off on a bad foot in the league. That’s hard to overcome.

Plus, I have intere$t$ in having the Pats win.

He can sling it. Just mistake prone. He will throw at least 1interception guaranteed. Especially with how aggressive patriots DB's are tonight.

I’m not saying he’s terrible, but don’t tell me there’s not a stigma around him based on his career prior and even including last year.

“Oh it’s Darnold, he’ll choke and throw 2 picks”

I feel like even if they win but he throws a pick it’ll be, “Darnold won because of his defense”

It’s just a weird thing we do with NFL QBs. We love the up and coming young guy, it Maye wins with 2 picks it’ll be “oh he’s the next Brady”

Make that wide open pass... I know he was under a ton of pressure.

There’s no way he could be a bust if he wins, and I was skeptical as hell.

But it also shows how garbage the Jets were and dumbass the Vikings are

Anyone who wants to be successful in this league has to look at when the jets and browns pick and think “skip me please”.

He took a Jets career to the face and recovered to a Super Bowl appearance, maybe even a win later tonight.

He's doing good.
