I have heard nothing but its supposedly the best, never tried it, do you highly recommend it and it be better than Oak Point, Meche's, and Twins (some of my favorites)?

Yes better than Oak Pointe and Twins.
Can't compare to Meche's because it is basically a fried donut.

The wife went out east and got one last year and neither of us was particularly impressed.

It's not as great as some people claim it is, I'd think its tradition for a lot of folks

Keller’s in Lafayette is damned good also, but I’m not really sure who has the best. It’s an annual cake, only available for weeks. And taste is an absolute subjective sense. But having said that, Dong Phuong surely deserves consideration in my book…

Had Dong Phuong for the first time this week and it instantly jumped to the top of my list of favorites.

It’s really good. Anyone saying otherwise is just hating to do so. Whether or not it’s the best is up to one’s own personal opinion, but definitely in the top tier

I've had it a number of years before it's got an award, it's good, but my go to GOAT is still a fresh cream cheese hi do.

So Meche's taste like Joe's (fried glazed king cake)
