Addicted to control over the masses. Just like Marx.

What is the full context?
Posted on 2/8/26 at 7:45 am to Fun Bunch
Are we back to cow farts being bad again?

Does there really need to be more context to that statement? It’s pretty self explanatory.

Human Engineering.
Address problems of people not behaving the way elites desire by using human engineering to gain compliance.
Gee... Covid...human engineering.
These people are evil

Same guy in 2014 by the way:
quote:
We tried to think outside the box,” says Liao. “What hasn’t been suggested with respect to addressing climate change?”
The answer they landed on is human engineering: the biomedical modification of human beings to reduce their impact on the environment. The associate professor suggests that by changing our underlying biology – altering our size or diet, for instance – we could create greener humans. …
“We’re not suggesting that we should mandate these ideas, but it would be good to make them options for people,” says Liao
What kind of “options” is he talking about? Dr. Liao suggests that we start by making people 15 cm shorter, cutting about a quarter of our body mass and reducing our needs for food, water, and other resources. Such a reduction in height would also make driving obsolete, since no one could reach the pedals.

Yes.
Especially since you're labeling this a comment from "WEF"
What was the setting, the discussion, etc.?
If it's just some random guy participating in a panel, who gives a shite? I imagine he says the same things outside of any WEF-related setting, which removes that variable from rhetorical impact entirely.

Here is a link for those who want sourcing
So, this guy is a crackpot and the WEF variable is meaningless. As I figured.

WEF puts out books.
Read some of them.
They don't exactly veil their brainstorming for controlling humanity.

Blame the rules regarding the length of thread titles. FYI there are dozens of articles on WEF site with similar sentiments.
He is a professor of bioethics that has made similar statements for well over a decade and has been a key speaker at WEF for a decade.

Does this idiot not know or care that some people can die from alpha gal syndrome?

It has a major function as a think tank. Hot takes are common by those trying to use the platform to separate and promote themselves.

Why has WEF had him speak there on more than one occasion if he’s a crackpot?

To make money. Most of the time you have to pay to get in these positions to promote yourself. Well, in this case I'm assuming NYU or an organization he's a part of made the actual payment.

They are making beef products already tough to consume with quality sacrificed in grocery stores as the prepackaged meat is very low quality but with high cost. Pork is still rather affordable as long as you know how best to prepare different cuts. Chicken is a joke but understandable considering the higher costs in raising now. Overall even produce is ridiculous in costs, 1.90 each or so for apples or oranges? 8.50 for grapes? Now look into seafood and get a good laugh. People better learn how to fish from the banks and hunt to supplement their needs.

I bet he's counting on it. Fewer people to consume food. A bonus if it is a tall large man.

OK. This has to be satire, right? Nobody can really be this stupid. Can they?
