You can enjoy coaching.
You can enjoy x and o prep.
But if recruiting is a chore, you won’t be good at it and your program will fail.
Lane actually enjoys the sales part of it. It’s possible to fake it, but I think he likes it.

he may not enjoy it but he's competitive as shite and isn't going to lose out on a guy because he didn't go all out

He definitely seems to be extremely motivated to prove to people that it was the right decision to go to LSU (for both Kiffin and LSU).

Once Lane announced he was going to BR, the best thing that could have happened to LSU was him getting trashed by all four corners of the internet and the media. He had to sit and take it and the only way to respond is on the field, and so, to use a military metaphor, I believe he's energetically cleaning, oiling, sighting in his weapon and chomping at the bit.

Looks like he lead his state of Virginia in TDs for a WR as a Sophomore with 15. I have no idea how good he is, but he should continue to get better.
