Daughter wants to be a nurse, she'll be fine. Son wants to join the Army, he'll be fine as well.

I already graduated. My kid is 3 so he has some time. Not sure why he needs a job when I graduate.

If anyone does not know the answer to this question they shouldn't have kids.

Sure they will…when I graduated there were no jobs to be had. We had people getting laid off everywhere. My dumb arse ended up getting a couple of offers and after a 30+ year career at one of those jobs, I was able to retire several years early.

Preparation, persistence, and good decisions make opportunity in life.

It is hard enough already, and will get worse.

You always have people saying that there will be new jobs created, but this isn’t a situation of “horse shoe maker can become tire maker”.

AI is moving into all the jobs.

This is going to have horrendous outcomes.

They’re going to go down to the workplaces, look the manager in the eye, hand over their resume, and make a damn good impression.

The Air Force was awesome.

I asked a psychologist friend of mine why I dream about being back in the Air Force. He said probably because it was the best time in your life.
He's right.

Hell, I separated almost 35 years ago!

When we transitioned from horses to automobiles, the same chicken little crowd was screaming "What will the horseshoe blacksmiths do now!" "What about the people that shovel horse shite out of the street?" "What about the saddle makers?"

Ah, yes, I remember the artificial intelligence boom of the early 20th century.

Yes. I (attempt to) use AI daily. Its a very very very long ways away from rendering humans obsolete. Its basically a retarded intern.

I agree but there are some decision makers that believe 4 “free” dumb interns can replace one qualified employee.

I think you’re being facetious. Either way, I wish you could do this. Most people would love if it worked that way. Try to go to EY/Deloitte as a fresh grad and “hand your resume to the partner”. There is a de facto form of that, meet the firms where you can at least talk to recruiters.
