It's actually quite a feat how quickly they have killed what wa previously the best sport in the world.

Ross Bjork has to be on the Mt Rushmore of “falling up” in sports

I opened this thread fully expecting to read about how CFB is similar to the downfall of NASCAR because... list. I have been saying the similarities are there.

Continuing to alienate core fan base.
Non fans of the sport now making decisions.
Monetize every aspect of the sport.
Strictly focusing on the tv product with no regard to in person spectators.
Forcing a regionalized sport on a national audience.
Changing of the rules every year to the point that no one can follow what the rules are anymore.

#1 faced #2 in the conference championship last year and it didn’t fricking matter. 2 years ago a one-loss team lost to its 5-6 rival at home and it didn’t fricking matter

Imagine if the kick six was merely the difference between Bama being the 1-seed versus the 3-seed. Pitt beating WV in 2007 as a 28 point underdog is a ghost-story in Morgantown and now it would’ve been completely irrelevant

Its hilarious what happens when the SEC doesn't win the title for 3 years straight.

Georgia is in the midst of what is objectively its golden era, and I still very much agree that the sport is extremely unhealthy and actively pushing away its core fans.

I'll take fifteen jersey patches if it means they go back to making students who transfer sit for a year.

Still won't be as bad as the Seahawks jersey for the Super Bowl:

This does not have shite to do with the SEC. The college football landscape as a whole is going right down the shitter in a hurry. It’s funny how the Big Ten beats thier chest with their recent success ever since you had to buy or outbid for the best players. SEC dominated the CFB landscape for well over a decade the old fashioned way. BIG 10 has to buy their success in order to win anything.

That's right. Things were way better when the SEC could cheat under the table.

You see all the shite the Big 10 is willing to do and the freaks they’ve employed and you think only the SEC was cheating during that decade?

Which only happened because you guys ushered in NIL and transfe portal to use your financial advantage openly to unravel all the stocked rosters of top SEC teams

I get you guys are proud that you finally are winning because you created this new system so you could but you could at least own the fact this is what the Midwest and North brought to battle the SEC

You're so dumb to think the SEC was the only ones. I mean how stupid do you have to be to believe that when you guys are literally doing anything for a buck or to buy a talent

As an LSU fan, frick the SEC. Why would you ever thump your chest about your direct competitors having success? That’s cuck shite.
