Looking to buy 2 new TVs

- ~75 inch for living room: budget around $2000

- ~50 inch for gaming: budget around $1000

Any recs? Also is there a better time to buy than others through deals, etc.?

At this point if it's not an OLED it's not a TV.

only recommendation would be to buy from costco to get a better warranty than most for no additional cost.

I do feel like I remember reading this time of year, close to Super Bowl, has decent deals but I’m not sure how that tracks against release dates of new models.

People love OLEDs, but I’ve been super happy with my Samsung QN90B mini LED. Bought in June 2023 for $1260 pre tax. My only complaint is that light glaring can cause a rainbow effect. It’s most notable when light glares on the TV during a black/dark screen. This may have been fixed in later models with different panel coatings.

As for gaming, definitely make sure it’s a 4K/120hz TV. Regardless of what you play on (console or PC), that should be able to hold its own for a while.

Very pleased with my Sony Bravia 8 65". I paid 1400 for it 6 months ago so the 75" may be closer to $2k

I’m about to get a 75” amazing frame pro. I have a 65” og frame in my bedroom and have been impressed. Had a 83” Samsung but with a recent renovation, it’s to big and want to downsize.

Just purchased a 77” LG C5 from Costco. ~$2K with 5 yr warranty and $200 gift card to Costco included.

How do you like it? I think I’m leaning C5 as well

I have read that it can struggle at times in bright rooms with glares

Will find out this weekend when it gets delivered. It’s replacing a Samsung OLED that experienced a power board failure under warranty.

Best buy has deep discounts on OLEDs. I just picked up a 65" samsung for $899...$1100 off

Deal came with a free 32" Samsung.

I have the LG G2 Gallery (thin profile). it’s 3 years old and it is still amazing to me. the G and C models are pretty much the same. Same panel I think. the G chassis is just a lot thinner similar to a Frame.

I always wanted a Frame and my wife did too but until recently the panels have been trash. I haven’t see the new ones yet but def want to check them out.

I have had panasonic plasma, Samsung LED, Bravia LED etc and this LG is the best. I hated the android interface on the Sony. samsung is a good choice too. It kinda comes down to price and whether you want super thin or not but I am sure you will be happy with any one of the three majors.

And yes I am the one who spent weeks and months researching and stressing over my decision, lol!

I was on the mini led / quantum dot train until I saw the Sony Bravia 8 v2. That, the Samsung S90F, and the LG G5 are incredibly bright for oled panels.

Best Buy open box TVs are amongst the best deals in tech if you have a location(s) near you.

I picked up a 77” lg c3 oled for about $550 about a year ago.

You're gonna get a bunch of biased reviews here but you should definitely check out rtings.com when you've narrowed it down. Great site that you can use to compare head to head and they also run a ton of objective tests.
