After Senior Bowl Game, my new LSU QB Mt. Rushmore: Burrow + Daniels + Tittle + Nuss

If we rewound time back to November 2025, I am not sure I would have had Nuss ahead of Tommy Hodson on my LSU QB Mt. Rushmore.
However, what a difference a week makes!
After reading all the Nuss Press and listening to all the Nuss Interviews this week, it really opened my eyes to maybe the accusations that Nuss was quitting on the team or just going into “put out less film to protect my draft status mode” were perhaps not accurate and he was a Heisman QB that suffered an injury that no other QB in the country would have been tough enough to try and play through.
Then he goes and puts together the tape he did today with a LSU helmet on and makes us all so proud while the entire nation was watching and pressure was at an all time high.
Even the MVP’s interception today was a beautiful pass!
I know I might be harsh listing Nuss as the 4th spot of Mount Rushmore just behind Y.A. Which spot do you have him on yours?

This is just silly. 4th in LSU history ahead of Hodson? Ahead of Bert Jones? Are you serious?
I would put Mett, Mauke, Ro and Herb Tyler in front of him. Hell, Josh Booty was all SEC his senior year. I would arguably put Booty in front of him.
I like Nuss and I appreciate him staying at LSU his entire career, but come on.

Three great Tigers.
However, they never stepped up and performed in a Senior Bowl practice or game like Nuss did this week.

Bert Jones is far up the list ahead of Nuss. So is Matt Flynn.

Gee whiz, to forget Bert Jones, a great NFL quarterback, and Y.A. Tittle, a Pro Football Hall of Fame QB, is ridiculous! Tittle once threw 7 TDs in an NFL game! It seems like this list is for those born around 1980. If anybody had a Rushmore-like career, it was Tittle. From the NFL Hall of Fame site:
Y.A. Tittle:
Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 1971
Louisiana State University, 1944-47
Baltimore Colts, 1948-50
San Francisco 49ers, 1951-60
New York Giants, 1961-64
"A native of Marshall, Texas, Yelberton Abraham Tittle played four seasons at LSU, including an MVP performance in the 1947 Cotton Bowl. He made an immediate impact with the Baltimore Colts of the All-America Football Conference as he earned AAFC Rookie of the Year honors. He joined San Francisco in 1951 and played 10 seasons for the 49ers before leading the New York Giants to three division titles between 1961 and 1964. He was a three-time All-Pro and played in seven Pro Bowls and he was selected as the NFL’s Most Valuable Player three times."
You also forgot David Woodley, who had a good NFL career with the Dolphins and actually led them to the Super Bowl. At LSU he was good- he split time with Ensminger at QB. Woodley should be higher up that list than some of those guys.
CORRECTION: Upon further review, the original poster here did not forget Tittle, but the lists from some of the other posters here did omit him.

Emotional post. Tommy Hodson all day and twice on Sunday’s over Nuss.

Any MT Rushmore for LSU should be based on how they performed at LSU. Nuss doesnt qualify based on his play at LSU.
Who cares what he did at some meaningless exhibition? They have limitations on defenses in those games. Not the same at all as playing against a gameplan. He was a star in practice as well. It didnt translate to Saturdays.
