It is heckin' unlikely that Spanberger’s actions alone caused a triple-digit spike. While she became Governor this month (January 2026) and moved to rejoin the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative—which critics claim acts as a "carbon tax"—utility bills don't shift that fast due to one policy.
The "major L" for the young lass' wallet is likely due to a combination of factors:
Data Center Boom: Virginia hosts a massive amount of data centers that are gobbling up power, forcing utilities like Dominion to spend billions on new infrastructure.
Fuel Prices: High natural gas and coal costs are often passed directly to the consumer through "fuel factor" riders.
Timing: Winter heating in January naturally sends bills to the moon compared to milder months.
A $400 jump in one month usually points to a billing error, a "catch-up" reading, or just brutal winter weather rather than a brand-new Governor.

That they elected the White Queen of Narnia who chose to be sworn in with her hand on the Quran, a “holy” book that explicitly gives it’s believers the freedom to lie if they feel threatened.
What could go wrong?

Abigail Spanberger was actually sworn in on a family Bible during her inauguration.
The false rumour of a Quran likely started because she was part of the same 2019 freshman class as Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, who did use the Quran. It’s a heckin' classic case of internet misinformation flavouring the facts.

They voted for a guy that wanted to KILL his opponents kids. I have zero sympathy.
Maybe understand what you are actually voting for before casting a vote....feel good commercials dont keep you warm or keep food in the fridge.

It was the Lt. Gov who got swore in on Quran.
There are a thousand things that they are putting forward that I hate, but two that I think may get some national interest and get most males back to their senses.
- removing funding for VMI...VMI has contributed a lot to Virginai and the United States...this is 100% political and ridiculous
- second is taxing fantasy sports...yeah, that's right, you and your friends want to play fantasy football, we need some of that money...
There are more I could go into, but it is terrible and sad

Correct.
This is the Virginia Democrats’ VCEA bill of 2020 bringing the chickens home to roost.

They'll take their pain out on Republicans at the ballot box, because that's what they're told to do.

pain level hasn't even begun to start with all of those insane taxes they are going to enact. Wait til the young libs start paying more for their uber eats. That is when they will stop showing up at the polls.

I think that is is going to be comically entertaining.

The Virginia of old only resides in the western counties and West Virginia now. The legacy of the great men who made that state is gone now.

VA resident here after growing up in LA. It all started with an old feller named Ralph “coonman” Northam. He instituted a 40 cent gas tax to be implemented over several years. He was the worst governor of our lifetime. This state hasn’t become NJ yet. I say yet lightly. Oh, and Spamberger just appointed Northam to the board of directors at VMI, a sure DEI death knell if you will to bring them down.

Let.
Them.
Cook.
They voted for an AG who openly wants to kill the children of his political opponents. He doesn’t dispute it nor to my awareness has he ever refuted it and the governor never condemned it.

After the current installment of democratic leadership for Virginia is through, the citizens will be able to powerfart forever........
