I think he has all the tools. He was in a bad situation and did not have the coaching help to get himself out. It was too much at the time in his life. He will be a damn good NFL qb.

This was a foregone conclusion before last season

Projected day one pick

Damn shame what last year did to his projections

Agreed. The core injury and the offensive playcalling last year ruined him

He has a great arm when healthy. His mechanics are bad with backpedaling and throwing off his back foot constantly, his refusal to scramble is bad, his decision-making is poor, and his accuracy is sometimes not very good as well.

I do agree that he was in a miserable offense this year that wasn't all his fault. But our offense was pretty good last year and he still had the same characteristics. It's possible he could do something in the NFL, but I don't know why you are saying he has all the tools.

What qualities besides a good arm does he possess that would make him a damn good nfl QB?

He’s small, plays scared, is not accurate, doesn’t elevate his teammates, played poorly vs strong competition

Absolutely.

He was playing for a shite staff, behind a shite O-Line. He was hurt.

Still he took a disproportionately large share of the blame, which is typically true for a QB.

I guess, if Tommy Devito can start a game, then Nuss could. So yeah, on a technicity you may be right.

Could be the next Drake Maye or the next Sam Darnold or the next JJ McCarthy.

Also how many 6’1” 202 pocket passers are thriving in the nfl? Yall have kept denying the trend of mobile QBs in college, and now it has infiltrated the nfl. Everyone is big and mobile. So where does a guy like Nussmeier fit in?

Don’t fall for the Nussmeier Senior Bowl videos. He is Joe Montana when he’s in shorts. When you put the pads on, he cannot complete the same tantalizing throws with any consistency. His footwork and pocket ability is absolute crap, too.

He throws too many INTs, cowers from pressure, calls too many timeouts, and isnt mobile enough. His arm is about 1 of 12 traits he needs

What if it actually ends up landing him on a better team? It sucks for the Tigers but it could be a blessing to him.

Gonna agree with Lester on this one. He pissed his pants facing LA Tech. If Myles Garret was running free at him, his weiner would suck up into his body so hard it would snatch his uniform up with it.

With a good line/health, I could see Nuss having a Derek Carr type career.

Good enough to start somewhere for 8 to 10 years, put up nice stats, lead the team to some solid seasons, and make just enough mistakes to keep a good team from ever being great.

Yeah but what’s your analysis on Brady Neal???

I can’t believe it took me this long to make that comparison. Nuss might just be the football version of Brady Neal.

He looks pretty good in Sr bowl. He was legit hurt and no his scheme, coaching and offense as a whole do him no favors.
