Democratic candidates in 2028

Who will they run? I don’t see anyone with any charisma or appeal. Beshear would be a good candidate for them, but he has no personality and that is everything in politics today. Mamdami has some Obama vibes, but he also wasn’t born in the U.S. Newsom is running the most left leaning state in the country and looks like a James Bond villain. If he’s the best they’ve got, I’m not sure that’s going to work. Do we see an outsider like Jon Stewart or Jimmy Kimmel?

This, I believe, is most likely the correct answer.
However, we're way too far out to be making any kind of firm predictions.

There will be a ton of candidates for the nomination. They've learned in 2016 and 2024 that not having people feel as if they were empowered to choose the candidate means a lot of voters don't bother to show up.
Younger voters are going to play a huge part in the primary because of the demographic shift... that makes it a bit unpredictable.

And nobody who votes Democrat gives a tiny squirt of pee about policies destroying anything. Cities, states, doesn't matter. It's always the other side's fault.
