I kind of understood the McDermmot firing thought process, but it in tandem with an internal promotion and Brandon Beane staying on, is uhh quite the decision

Well, that's something. Being an OC or DC is much different than being a head coach. He had a rapid ascension to NFL HC from being LSU OC. Good luck to him. Without him LSU's 19 season doesn't materialize.

It may or may not workout, but the dude has all the makings to be a good head coach.

It will never not be funny when LSU fans on tRant tried to convince themselves ahead of the 2020 season that there wasn't going to be a dropoff when he left because Ensminger was still the OC.

It’s a lazy hire for Buffalo in my opinion.

This could very well be a Super Bowl or Fired-After-1-Year thing.

The Bills are tripling down on McDermott as the issue. Could be messy.

It shouldn't be that surprising. Since Leslie Frazier left, the defense has gotten worse year over year with McDermott leading it. And the offense has improved steadily getting better and better since Brady took over playcalling in 2023.

It makes sense to run back a top 3 offense and try to fix whatever issues they have on defense.

Yeah the Bills don't really have time to wait 3 or 4 years to see if this works out. They need to win now before it's too late

Pretty bold move will be interesting to see how it works out

He'll still be brought up on this board for the LSU OC spot next year when Weiss gets a head coaching job.

The bills don’t want the best offense in the nfl over the last 3 years to change…….

Brady hitting on DC is the lynchpin one way or the other here
