All, I really like the sausage. I have heard they sell it in Lafayette. At Sam's has anyone else seen it anywhere that you can buy it in bulk? I've heard it's cheaper than going all the way to Iowa.
Thanks for all the input.

They are sold at Market Baskets not sure if you have one near you. Also Rouses and Super 1 foods

Rouses carries one named Rabideaux's...I'm assuming that's the same one you're looking for?

Got probably go to plant to get in bulk. Most Stores carry the 1lb link. I'm assuming you're looking to get a discount on a case..maybe Rouses will accommodate with a bulk discount

Their website says they take orders by phone. 337-582-3184.
I don’t know if you have to drive to eye-oh-way loosiana to get it.

I'll reach out to rouses and see if they'll sell me a case. Thanks for all the answers.

Albertson's sells it in Lafayette. The pork and venison is very good.

Rouse's and Super1 in Lafayette. I've only found it at one market in Baton Rouge so far. Called their HQ in Iowa last year and asked why they stop short of the capital and she said they can't get drivers to make the trip here

I think Rouse's in Laffy sell some of Rabideaux's products. My favorite is their Andouille (GOAT) which I think they only sell at Iowa (and usually frozen unless you call in advance).
FYI, really nice people who work there.

Champagne's sells it. They would probably order bulk for you if you ask.

That's good to know that they don't sell the Andouille anywhere but in Iowa. I need a good bit for a gumbo cook-off. I guess I'll get a nice drive down I10 real soon. At least I'll be able to pick up some other products. I enjoy making a nice gravy with their Ponce.

I've eaten the packaged in store and the bulk straight from their facility in Iowa and to me there is a different taste to the one in package. I much prefer the sausage directly from the smokehouse. I'd assume the prepackaged is made somewhere offsite that also does the packaging. And if you buy if "loose" from the Iowa smokehouse it is cheaper per lb than what you buy in the store.

I went through Iowa last December. It had been a few years since I had eaten that sausage. I bought the vacuum packed stuff. I was disappointed. The grind was different and the taste was not what I remember. Don’t know the story but heard some
Time back the place changed hands within the family. Something is different.

I picked up a bunch of it in Iowa before heading back up to NorthLa last week in preparation of icepocalypse. It made for an outstanding gumbo, best andouille I’ve had

Albertson's here in Ellick has it, check their website for the near you.

Have been eating Rabideaux's (smokef pork sausage, tasso, and andouille) for over ten years. I have not noticed a drop-off in any way and have never had it not shrink-wrapped.
Just my experience.

WTF??? That’s SAD! I wonder how hard they tried. There are plenty of drivers on the road that make hauls further than Iowa to Baton Rouge.

You really got me wanting to get my hands on some of this.

There hasn’t been any change that I’m aware of. Glen Daigle the owner for the last 25+ years is still there daily.
