There is no Constitutional Right in the United States to protest!

What does exist is the right to peacefully assemble. That's it. No riots, no chaos, no burning s*** down, no intimidation, no blocking roads, no screaming obscenities. Peacefully assemble. You have the right to stand there. You have right to hold a sign. You have the right to assemble peacefully.
Quietly lawfully without trampling every one else's rights. The moment it becomes loud, destructive, coercive or threaten, it stops being protected and it becomes lawlessness.

“No screaming obscenities”
But that pesky 1A, though.
Some of this crap is just counterproductive. You can argue the problems with what’s going on in MN without venturing into idiotic takes to undermine the Bill of Rights.

This is something that definitely needs to be clearly outlined.
There is most certainly a difference in "peaceably assemble and petition the government for a redress of grievances" and what's been allowed to go on and grow since the 60s.
My 2nd Amendment rights don't extend to me strolling down the boulevard aiming my weapon at any and all.
1A interpretation has gotten out of hand.

shite like this is just as bad as the dumb shite the proggie idiots are spewing.
You most certainly have a right to protest, providing it does not involve destruction of property, blocking public right of ways, or assaulting other people.
Hence the difference, that most sane people understand, between peaceful protest and committing violent acts.

The First Amendment does not give one the right to shout obscenities.
Where do you people come from?

The permissive attitude toward unlawful actions by protesters was firmly established in 2020. Once evil is allowed in…

So chanting "frick Joe Biden" was not protected by the 1A?

You and the OP are meaning the same thing... but getting hung on semantics.
Peaceably assemble and petition is the exact verbiage. Protest isn't in there.
I don't think OP or any sane person is against petition/protest... but highlighting the difference in peaceable assembly vs blockading, impeding and rioting.

Why vehicles are not equipped with discombobulators is beyond me. Protestors would clearly know to stay off of the streets.

Nope.
ETA: Go to any well run town, stand on main street, and start shouting obscenities and see what happens to you.

Fair enough. I disagree, but you are at least consistent.

That’s weird… Trump just pardoned a whole bunch of people who did the exact opposite

The BoR is actively being misinterpreted and misused to undermine the nation.
You have one jerkoff following an officer around, screaming and impeding, you have a legitimate arrest on your hands.
Magically though, once you have dozens doing the same it is somehow interpreted to be a legitimate first amendment action.
bullshite.

Yes, shouting obscenities in public in NYC can be illegal under NYC Code Section 10-179 regarding disorderly behavior, which prohibits using abusive/obscene language or making unreasonable noise in public.

Stupid fricking law. As are all of them, no matter the state/locality.

Like J6? Is there a double standard ?

Self immolation is the most sincere form of protest.
