Never heard of Lemonade Insurance. This must all be for publicity.

Lemonade, Inc. is an American insurance company. The company offers renters' insurance, homeowners' insurance, car insurance, pet insurance, and term life insurance in the United States, as well as contents and liability policies in Germany and the Netherlands and renters' insurance in France. The company is based in New York City and has approximately 2.9 million customers. Lemonade does not hire human employees to process claims for customers, instead using artificial intelligence and chatbots to process claims

sounds odd. Every other insurer out there is raising rates on tesla vehicles. They have the highest death rate of any manufacturer out there right now.

it would make sense that if our cars are more safe and driven autonomously that the insurance would drop dramatically. I worry that the stranglehold that personal injury attorneys and insurance companies have on our pocketbook might try to stifle the growth we are seeing in self driving technology by paying the politicians to pass laws against self driving technologies.

Wasn't this already tried and the judge shut it down?
Honestly I think letting AI be the judge is a better choice.

My Tesla is on FSD at almost all times unless I'm late for something. Then I switch to manual mode and it's like driving a bolt of lightning.

I never thought about that but it’s very possible. Their gravy train is going to dry up eventually. We’ll likely see a huge increase in slips/falls in stores and restaurants.
What happens when my self driving car hits your self driving car? Can they scan both cars computers, see which one made the error and assign responsibility off of that?

They’ve been around for awhile, and have been tagged as an “insurance disrupter”. They don’t write in every state.
They’re all in on AI, so they’ve had some bumps.
They are yet to be profitable, but their investments and cash flow are looking better.
This is an attempt to corner the market on self driving vehicles, and as someone who watches these companies, it’ll work in their favor.

The data is looking good from what I have seen. The idea is every car commu instead and we drive like ducks fly in a V.

And law enforcement with a huge reduction in tickets and citations.
The switch to full self driving for everyone by default is going to be forced because eventually the cost to insure a non self driving vehicle is going to get so expensive that it’s going to be a “luxury” to drive a classic car
when every car is FSD and communicating with each other roads and travel is going to be so much safer…even simple features like blind spot monitoring and lane assist has had a huge impact on accidents already

I think you meant to say the data is dumb. It wasn't my opinion or anything.

I was betting that Elon owned Lemonade Insurance.

They don’t even have to communicate with each other tbh.
FSD is fairly predictable in most situations. It does my daily community exactly the same with some slight variations.
Once cars are mostly autonomous, You’ll have predictable cars assessing other predictable cars’ behavior and they will almost never hit each other.

I think he might be thinking about a few clickbait articles that showed something like 5 deaths for every billion miles driven in a Tesla vs something like 4 deaths per billion miles for the next closest manufacturer.
It’s like, OK sure you’re acktualy correct but come on man.
Also, I think the total number of Tesla fatalities was like 80ish last year…compared to a few million registered Teslas on the road.
