During the Bama game, one of the announcers said IU will never beat themselves in any phase. You have to beat them on all sides of the ball.

Think about what that says about the coaching job and the buy-in from players.

Damn. That's impressive.

I was amazed at how well they tackled and how few cheap yards were given on broken tackles or dumb penalties.

They tried pretty hard to beat themselves yesterday with the horrendous false start on 2nd and 1 when they were about to ice the game. Could have gone down as an all time choke.

Point was proven lastnight.

Miami made silly mistakes that cost them the game (beck INT, blocked punt, poor coverage, etc.). Indiana played discipline and solid football.

People forget LSUs defense was not that great in 19

LSU often had to outscore other teams, to make up for the poor D

And it is nuts, considering how much NFL talent was on that D.

But the offense was so amazing, it came through time and again

Which is why most agreed Miami had to play perfect to win....because they certainly had the talent... Toney made Indiana look like the 3/4 stars they are...

Indiana dominates you inch by inch and never plays out of its comfort zone...its like they have scripted the game, the opponent just doesn't know it yet and hasn't "found" themselves yet. See Oregon, Miami 1st Halves.

In short, Indiana is ready from the opening bell while their opponents are still getting their Sea legs.

We saw it in the Oregon game during the Season... Indiana walks into Autzen and quieted that crowd by executing and just playing like they don't care who you are or what stage they're on. That's coaching.

They have a laughably easy schedule next year. Only competitive component they play is OSU.

USC, Michigan and Washington should hypothetically all be in the good range

Also, the DB going down after the interception was like the ONE TIME it actually wasn't good to do so.

Indiana plays in what is undeniably the best conference in the country right now. Every game is a test and you better be ready. No gimmes in the best conference.

Miami really had about 30 opportunities to win this game.

They had multiple dumb 3rd down penalties on defense. Two on the same TD drive for Indiana.

Missed FG right before halftime
Blocked punt

Multiple 4th down conversions by Indiana.

I'd argue that Indiana basically played perfectly and nearly everything bounced their way, and they still scraped by.

This one would sting for me if I were a fan of Miami.

Up 6 points is thew perfect time to take a knee.

Taking off the helmet was stupid but didn't cost them.

This is how i felt about both the Indiana and Miami games against OSU. I felt like OSU had so many chances to win both games and didn't. Hell if OSU beat Indiana in the B1GCG, they would have had an easier road.

woulda coulda shoulda. The sport we love is ending and we are left with the scraps

I never thought I’d see Indiana win a football national championship.

Well 2019 LSU played a lot less disciplined football in 2019. They were ranked 104 in penalties IRRC. Indiana is ranked 2nd in penalties committed behind Army.

It just illustrates the lethality of that 2019 LSU offense. They stacked record offensive stats despite being highly penalized.

Agree. The refs were easy on Miami.

I hate to say it but in a whole season, I've never seen the best Alabama team, much less anyone else, execute to the level game in / game out that Indiana has this year.
