GFS is a known poor model for southern snow.

That type of weather is the most difficult to predict because of how specific conditions have to be for snow vs sleet vs freezing rain. The temps in the vertical air masses can be a thousand feet off will determine which type of precip you get. Other people can explain it better than me.

Euro Icon and Canadian are all seeing a southern ice storm as well

Next weekend. The high next Saturday is 32 in Nashville with 60% precip chance. Anyone have to use handheld scanning devices in this type of weather? I could use glove recommendations that work well with scanners.

Local weather just started posting about this today in Shreveport. It will probably change 500 times between now and next weekend.

This has legs. I wouldn't book a trip to Arky for the basketball game.

Meteorologists are as bad as instragram whores nowadays with their need to get as many clicks as they can. Potential gulf threats in the summer and potential ice/snow storms in the winter are their go to.
