Remake
Key word.
It would be hilarious to watch a remake where they try to copy every character and scene exactly the same as the original though.

I don't know, are they swapping characters or are they 'reimagining' the scenario with different ones?
Like The Wonder Years. It isn't specific to white kids in the 1960's.
If it's good, that's all that matters.

Oh wow! I can't wait to see this, it looks soooo good. Is this a series? I hope it's 22 episodes!

Oh come on, the cast is what made the original great.

At this point it’s your own fault if you watch this crap

Mark Proksch and Paula Pell are great so I'll give this a chance but I have my doubts even they can save this.
The Burbs is Tom Hanks 2nd greatest movie behind Saving Private Ryan but very, very close to Joe vs The Volcano.

The Burbs is a very under appreciated movie. I really like it, and watch from time to time. I will not be watching this. I’m sure they will be checking all the boxes. Gay couple, strong black female, and a trans mailman. It’s a pass.

Then call it something else

I rewatched The Burbs a year or two ago because I hadn’t seen it in decades. And it still holds up really well. Great movie.
I’ll pass on this one.

I don't have an emotional attachment to The Burbs. This just looks lame as shite.

At first, I thought you were hacked. Salute.

Why?
For the same reason they dont call it the Tonight Show, starring Johnny Carson. When Jimmy Fallon is the host
Or Miami Vice, but now set in Chicago
