Ever met someone who no matter what you say or what position you hold

They will argue with you? Even to the point that they will argue for something that they were adamantly against just days ago and argue from a position that they were always against it. Or vice versus.
lol.
Is this a personality trait? Where one cannot be agreeable in anything?
I feel like I’m seeing this more and more often. I really can’t remember running into this 30 years ago. On any memorable level at least.

Yep, same here. Water is wet, she would disagree, Google it, ask her father, twist words, etc.

What led to you marrying someone that disagreeable or did it change over time?

Same. I think my wife just wants to add a comment but she doesn’t think it thru and just seems contradictory.

Olden days, we called them douche bags.

I would have bet my left nut that this would be the first reply.

No, which means I am probably he.

Not necessarily argue with me every chance they can, but I have a direct report that constantly has to interject and add slightly more than I have. It drives me absolutely nuts.
An example
"We have saved ~$100 this year"
"Well we have saved $102 this year"

One of my best friends, since childhood. He became a defense attorney, then did some years at the DA's office. He's now a judge.

It's called a one-upper

Went on a date with a girl years ago who did this, I noticed it a few minutes and spent the rest of the date steering her into a circle arguing against herself about any and everything.
She wasn’t attractive enough to deal with after that one date.

Yeah, that is a fair assessment.

No, I don’t care what you say, that’s my truth and I’m sticking with it.
