If these weren't on channels that are kept on all day at sports bars and airports, the numbers would be even more embarrassing.

This is anecdotal, but I didn't realize it was on during the holidays. I watched yesterday's match last night after the kids went to bed. I would assume the ratings will be better for week 3. They might still suck, I don't care.

Changing the timeslot and day each week it comes on doesn’t help with ratings.

At the moment it’s just filler content for ESPN.

I didn't even know the second season had started nor do I have any idea time of day or day of the week its on. Feel like that is their biggest issue because I would watch it. Enjoyed Season 1.

Hopefully they aren't using Tigers launch monitor this year so it doesn't have him sending 3/4 wedge shots 50 yards over the green.

Are recorded episodes counted in this? Just curious.

They are also talking about adding an LPGA tour component as well. That could be kind of cool, to do some tour challenges and whatnot.

I have watched episode 1, and my biggest takeaway is that Billy Horchel is annoying.

Ahh, so 646k on ABC or ESPN 350k on a weekday is bad and embarrassing , and in your terms, DEAD ON ARRIVAL

Hmmmmmmmmmmm

quote:

Across 17 telecasts on Fox this year, LIV Golf averaged just 338,000 viewers

quote:

LIV Golf's average FS1 ratings in 2025 were generally low, often in the tens of thousands, with early season events averaging around 63,000 viewers on FS1

What would you call that? Golf on weekends getting half the viewers of DEAD ON ARRIVAL TGL?

Sad that the LIV bros are reduced to trying to disparage TGL because they know that’s more of a direct LIV competitor than the PGA. And TGL is still doing better

I truly am interested to hear him respond He said TGL is dead, yet its ratings are TWICE as good as LIV

This shite is, dare I say, even dumber than LIV. And LIV is fricking awful.

I guess this was done as a way to pay guys extra to stay on tour and not leave for LIV. Maybe they thought they could steal some market share from the YouTube golfers. I’m guessing it shuts down when LIV shuts down..

TGL is starting to lean into the fun stuff a bit more this year. They've added some fun holes that wouldn't make sense in real life. They should get rid of all the normal holes and completely adopt outlandish holes. I don't care if Billy Horschel can his a stock gap wedge into a basic green. I do want to see them try to hit a ball with an apex below 40ft and still try to birdie a hole.

agreed. watching pro golfers play normal holes on a sim is boring. They should have wild holes that they have never seen before.

I watched the first one and that's it.
I'd rather watch more YouTube Invitationals.
More intriguing. Maybe add and equal amount of female golfers?

Is it great? No

Is it better than nothing? Yes

If those are my options I’m watching it.

I’m sure there is some kind of copyright or whatever legal issue with it. But I really wish the had them playing real golf holes on the simulator and not gimmick golden tee style holes

Do you not have Netflix, Max, or any other streaming? It's so bad, there are like a million things available that are better to watch. Unless you just have to be watching golf.
