Moore will be drafted in the top 5 picks. He will most definitely declare for the draft. Would be foolish not to. If Kiffin and Co. truly believe that Leavitt is the greatest option, then drop the bag. If not, reallocate money to deepen the roster and sign a more developmental QB similar to Chambliss. Nike money is no joke.

I am kinda in this boat. Go get Holstein who is mobile and is at least serviceable and put a good team around him.

If Moore is looking like #2 to Jets he might go back to Oregon.

Not going to try and sugar coat it… If we miss on Leavitt I will stop calling everyone chicken little. Not the end of the world but would be a bummer for 2026.

If it truly depends on Oregon, then that means we aren’t 1st choice and need to move on

Will any teams follow the NCAA guidelines on the new salary cap or have they already found a workaround?

I think the opposite.

If they can’t get Leavitt. Go after Deuce or see if you can finesse Longstreet from USC or Russell from Alabama if Simpson stays. All of them fit Lane’s system.

All it takes is 1 team to find a semi-successful workaround (I believe it will be Texas Tech) and literally every other school will copycat

People don't realize how true this is. Moore literally posted something along the lines of "don't listen to people that tell you to leave school early to play for teams like the Jets".

And right now, he's projected to be drafted.... by the Jets.

Simpson is either going Pro or Portal. He won't be back at Bama. He's being pushed out so they can keep Russell.

I believe Simpson is being processed in favor of Russell. Alabama is really in a conundrum this offseason. Miami will be heavily involved for Simpson if he hits the market.

No thank you. Go get the best player you can at the most important position on the field. People who think bargain hunting for our 2026 QB starter is the answer blow my mind.

I think y'all give way too much credence to this live-or-die in the portal mindset. Leavitt is good, but I still like Lane being able to find these guys out in the haystack.

If Sam picks Oregon it will be a little embarrassing but it doesn't really scare me. Half of these portal players will end up being dogshit anyway.

I've watched too much NFL in my life to get my hopes up on free agents. There's a shite ton more Albert Haynesworth's going to the Redskins in 2009, Osweiler going to the Texans in 2016, LaVeon Bell, Demarco Murray, etc than Reggie White at the Packers, Brady to the Bucs, Brees to the Saints, etc. We have to build through the portal because that's how it is now, but I think LSU having the target off our backs while we quietly grow helps a hell of a lot more than being preseason #1 "champs".
