Face it. We are a bit of a dumpster fire right now.

I’m optimistic that Lane will figure it out but with all the transition of players, coaches, essentially having to rebuild an entire offense from scratch…there’s also a certain amount of uncertainty around the program. Any of you who can’t see or admit that are just too Lane-sessed to accept reality. Probably why we missed out on Sorsby - he picked a program with a lot more stability right now.

We are a dumpster fire because the pussy Scott woodward’s mess is having to be cleaned up. If Sorsby wants to go live with the tumble weeds in Lubbock he is tiger bait.

He replaced 18/22 starters at Ole Miss last year through the portal.

It’s fine, as long as our coaches are enjoying coaching for Ole Miss we’re good.

We don’t need an offensive line or a QB.

The portal's been open for what, four days? Players are still taking visits. I'm not really that worried about it. It would be nice to have some big names locked up, but I think it's far more important what we do at the next level in building out the roster. Ole Miss isn't still in the playoff because they signed a bunch of high profile portal players. We have a staff that's shown they can find great players and we have the resources to get them. I think we're going to be fine.

I'm surprised at all the transfers, especially from guys that would've been starters and are local kids. We need to keep this local talent and keep the line of in-state kids coming to LSU.
I think the negative press and is impacting some of this around Kiffin as well.

Right now???????

Did you see this team at all last year with the vaunted Brian Kelly at the helm? This team has been a smoldering pile of shite for a while and it only recently flamed when the money bag starts shaking!

IMO there are very few players who are making decisions based off anything other than who is paying the most.

This isn't remotely close to true. Some of us are content to let the process play out and not over-react and call the program a dumpster fire.

There are always some pains in a transition. If you are someone who thought LSU was just going to retain all of their good players and then, within the first 3 days of the portal being open, sign a ton of top rated players, then the "concern" is a byproduct of you having unrealistic expectations.

Things didn't start out red-hot ahead of the 2022 season. LSU started to get transfer signees as the days/weeks went on and ultimately had a good team. It was a team that also lost 17 players to the portal.

We now live in an "on-demand" world. So when on-demand expectations aren't delivered it seems like a catastrophe to some.

I think we look like one from where we the fans sit, but there's so much behind the scenes that we're not seeing.

I'm not convinced it's that bad at all. We simply don't know enough yet.

No. You're wrong. We are in transition.

Just take a look at Kiffin last year at Ole Miss, where he had already been for several years.

The NCAA Football Transfer Portal's main winter window for 2024-2025 opened on Monday, December 9, 2024.

During that period, Kiffin officially received commitments from 24 players in the portal:

Why do you still believe this

This recruit La is a thing of the past. You spend all recruiting effort on immediate impact freshmen, such as Pickett. You cant waste time or resources doing anything else. La. or not, elite talent only when recruiting hs. Everyone else bolts, no one sticks and develops. Matter of fact, a case could be made from letting them go out and then bring back home as Jr or Sr

That’s why Frank leaving is meaningless.
