All joking aside, I saw a YouTube video a few years ago with a music producer that basically said the same thing
He said firework was the best pop song of that era and broke down how it was constructed.

She's only had one number one single since that album. As for best female and all that, Mariah, Madonna, Taylor, Rihanna, and Whitney are all ahead of Katy Perry.
ETA: I was incorrect about Perry's #1 songs. She had one #1 before the Teenage Dream record (5 #1s) and three #1s from albums afterward. She's had nine total top hits, tied with Bouncy and Ariana.
