I know he's appealing for another year, but could someone KINDLY tell me why he wouldn't just go on into the draft?

Does he just need a deeper D1 resume?

i think for a long time he was not seen as an NFL talent, and he would be a lower pick. His NIL value is higher if he would get another year. With the performances he has strung together he will probably go higher in the draft and get more money. Still not sure if it would be enough to make sense, given his NIL value.

Okay. That's what I'm thinking -- seems like a roll of the dice whether he's better off with college NIL money or rookie NFL money at this point, NCAA decision withstanding.

He was lights out last night and looked very Jayden Daniels-esque to me. It would be fun to see how much more he could develop at this level.

It's simple, coming back to college and gaining 4 million dollars from LSU or going into the NFL draft, 3rd or maybe 4th round pick, sitting on the bench and never being heard from again. If Joe Burrow or Jayden Daniels didn't attend LSU they would be selling insurance. Don't overthink it!!

He shouldn’t get the extra year given that he is trying to claim a medical redshirt for chronic tonsillitis. Had he started the season and stopped, maybe, but he started and then stopped and then went back to play or try at the end of the year.

Doesn’t deserve another year even if garbage like Pavia were granted it because the NCAA is too chicken to fight the lawsuits now.

There seems to be a thought he's too small and doesn't have enough high level production. He could improve his stock some by coming back if he played well at LSU next year. Enough to make it worth it? Who knows

I have absolutely no dog in this fight, but this just isn't true. Neither Joe nor Jayden were winning the CFP Quarterfinals against Georgia before they came to LSU.

He will make more via NIL than a sixth round NFL pick.

6th round? Latest mock draft has him as QB3 to the Steelers in 1st...

behind Mendoza and Dante Moore

He probably would make more in college with NIL than he would going pro.

i hear you. i dont think i have ever seen anything quite like jayden daniels. cam newton at auburn and lamar jackson highlights comer to mind, but they are all different in their own way.

that performance against the Florida Gators was freaking insane. beyond video game numbers.

Enter the draft now and he might go 1st round but probably 2nd/3rd.

OR
Come back to college (LSU), make $4 million and then turn into a top 20 pick

Or he could come into the season as the Heisman favorite and flame out like Nuss. His value won't improve much with another year in CFB and he is one year shorter on his NFL career.

Only needs one team (Kyler Murray) to fall in love with him. It's take the guaranteed money or bet on himself.

You think Chambliss can be the best QB and athlete on the field in the NFL. Similar money in both cases and in one he starts every game and can make a name for himself. The other he is someone’s backup, he did that already.
