That really will be a downgrade for them.

He'll work out well there. He's not horrible, he just has to have talent to work with.

What did he have at LSU?

dropped passes everywhere

Seems like LSU folks consider Hankston to be fairly mid.
One factor: Ohio state does need some southern representation on their coaching staff for recruiting purposes. Hankston does check that box off. So does rb coach Locklyn.

2 LSU WRs here lived up to expectations with him
BTJ
Nabers
Both were on the roster and already developed somewhat. Every other WR including his transfer portal guys regressed under him. Georgia warned LSU about him and everything they said was correct. Plus he never let any WR get in any kind of rhythm with his moronic rotate WRs every single play.

Interesting.
Why do you think he keeps getting high profile jobs?

I don't know? There's lot of garbage coaches who fall upward because they're in coaching circles. You can ask that question about many coaches who are bad at their jobs.
BTJ and Nabers are all-pro WRs. He even took a transfer portal bust this year - probably biggest bust - and he turned out horribly. Anderson was nearly a 1000 yard all-sec freshman WR and at LSU he looked like he never played the WR position here. Lacy even didn't live up to his senior campaign. Barrion Brown disappointed. I can list WRs left and right. This should never be a problem at LSU.
His WRs consistently: didn't know how to block, ran poor routes especially in zone coverages they loved drifting into coverage, and had chronic drop problems. Whatever his preparation was in practice it clearly sucked. I suspect rotating WRs every play didn't help either.

When it rains it pours for OSU

Appreciate the analysis.
How was he as a high school recruiter?

Dude has to be elite in interviews. He went from Georgia, to LSU to Ohio state and everyone couldn’t wait to see him go.

Yall are delusional... he coached them 2 of the 3 years they were here. Lmao
So youre saying they got most of the development during Orgeron's fired season?

Aaron Anderson was also hurt all the time. Guess Hankton is at fault there?

He’s not a good recruiter, Frank covered for his arse.

Lacy lead the SEC in receiving TDs and was top 3 in yards in 2024. Yall just say anything with all emotions and zero facts.

Barrion Brown disappointed
Brown was a 4th year senior coming to LSU. He was a finished product. The entire offensive unit struggled. Everything works hand in hand on offense.

Shows you how strong LSU brand is.
Guy has a stellar resume on paper lol. UGA, LSU, and now OSU.
Guy is really bad

and Nussmeier constantly overthrew open WRs last year.
if Ohio St gets kids like Dakorien Moore and Tristen Keys committed, they schools are not going to let them get away like LSU did.
