Do those folks have direct pipelines to China for their inventory?

How do they determine market price?

How do they store excess inventory in the offseason?

I'm not sure but my guess is they buy from a mega distributor on the midwest like Boomland.

There are distributors. They try to sell out with discounts the days after the holiday and they give extras to people who work the stand.

We grabbed some from a place yesterday, big blowout 75% off. I'm wondering, 75% off what? Who the hell knows how much this shite costs, they just make up the sale prices.

Some of the stands here in Texas are church sponsored, volunteers working the stands with proceeds going to their church.

The main distribution warehouse sells to the local stand for $1 per firework.

They resale that $1 product for $15-20

There is that much markup in the last step. Knew someone in partnership with a firework stand. They let us buy wholesale under theie name out of Denham. $300 filled a 10x10 bedroom. Looking back it was a genius storage location.

Not sure anything on the wholesale list was more than $35 unless you are talking 10000 gross stuff.

Easier than one might think to get a license to distribute.

I looked into this after I learned that some Mardi Gras Krews buy beads this way. What I learned was that it's a fairly involved process to import. You need brokers and agents. I think "NoColors" may be in this industry.

As far as fireworks, to buy on that scale, I think you couldn't just mix and match. You needed to buy a shipping container of each item. That brings about a storage and transportation issue.

I know a guy who bought a permanent building and only opened it a few times a year (the rest of the time he stored product for his other businesses in the building). Seemed lucrative if it paid for the building.
