And that’s why I chose to skip betting on this game. You can’t trust Lincoln Riley in the post season.

How did they review that so quickly? The inconsistency really pisses me off

I’d say going back to what, early to mid 90s every Alamo Bowl seemed like a barn burner every year

They didn't. Refs on that side got together and made sure they both saw the same clean shot.

They conference to head ref.

Game over

They needed to confirm that USC's defense is really that bad.

Exactly this.

The LJ and FJ got together to make sure they both saw him stay inbound. They did, they radioed to the white hat that he stayed in, game over.

Speaking of handled, there were very few completed passes in that game that were caught by a receiver that didn't have his jersey completely in the fist of a defensive back.

It was so bad, they had no control over it by the end of the game. We saw it in the LSU game Sat night too

I'm very interested to see how these crews in the playoff games "handle" it.

They make things so much harder on themselves.

I didn't mind it at all. They let both teams get away with stuff all night unless it was overt, so the officiating was at least consistent. And guys were still making great plays despite the contact.

I'd much rather a game be officiated like this over an NFL game where refs give out multiple cheap 1st downs for basic hand-checks.
