Governor Landry was correct to get involved

Y’all realize that without him stepping in we are still stuck with that soft leprechaun Brian Kelly. Props to Jeff Landry for taking care of the most important thing ever in the state of Louisiana. The football program of LSU that the head coach position of this place is the #1 football job in the entire nation. Shut the hell up and be grateful for him getting the job done hiring a great AD Verge Ausberry who then hired Lane so now our 2nd chance at the Saban era in Baton Rouge can begin. Justice for 2004 has been served. Excited for this dominant era. Geaux Tigers. Get your season tickets and pack Death Valley every single game.

Getting involved behind the scenes vs grand standing like he's given a presidential speech are 2 different things. It was over the top and unnecessary.
And in what other coaching search would you define it normal for a governor to be involved. If bama had the governor involved in their coaching search you'd see it as weird.

No he wasn’t.

Don't be naive. There are folks involved with LSU football who pay the bills they just don't want to have all things known what they do and when and how.

You want to start destroying recruiting... start talking about how lsu is a republican school. Politics behind the scenes is inevitable... front and center is a liability to having a great athletic program.
