If the Saints win

2026
Opponents
Chiefs
Commanders
Rams, 49ers, or Seahwaks

If the Saints lose
Raiders
Giants
Cardinals

That is a big difference in games.

Top group the Saints would be lucky to go 1-2. Second group they will be favored to go 3-0.

If this is the Atlanta team we face next week, we might not have a choice.

Are you forgetting we can still finish in 2nd place in our division?

A Saints win over the Falcons & a Panthers win over the Bucs moves us all the way up to 2nd place

That would then be
Chargers
Cowboys
Whatever NFC West team not named the Cardinals

NFL rewards the hell out of their bottom teams. Easy schedule and millions in draft position value.

Making the playoffs is awesome. Anyone missing the playoffs, yet still recording wins, are absolute fools.

Saints every year trade UP in the draft because they are not happy drafting low and covet the higher ranked players. Now, in a year where we could be at the top, we are needlessly falling downwards in draft position.

Any tough team from this season could become a cake game next season and vice versa. Such is life in the NFL. I wouldn't even worry.

I get what you are driving at, but I rather beat the damn Falcons and keep our overall record even with them ( plus I don't want to give their fan base any joy that they swept us going into the offseason)

Also I don't want the Buccaneers to win , giving them five straight years of an NFC South title

Besides we never know what teams are going to be like next year, so I wouldn't worry too much about their opponents.

TB and Carolina at 8-9

Sometimes it’s not who you play but where and when you play them.

We could beat the commanders and Chiefs. Played the 49ers tough this year, though the other 2 beat the hell out of us

I don't mind the Redskins if they don't have Daniels.
