It seems like some coaches have this mentality. You fumble and you don't play again. This means your best player is on the bench and you lose the game to prove a point.

It seems to me if someone makes s mistake they would try that much harder if they got back in the game. Sometimes the defense wins and makes a great pl as y on the ball, the perfect punch out etc.

If we had played Berry we probably win that game.

Hopefully that means Berry will stay.

Lane can just do the ole tape the ball to his hands and make him carry it around campus treatment.

Berry definitely has a fumbling problem. He had put it on the ground a number of times.

I’ll say it. I’m thrilled Frank Wilson will no longer be anywhere near LSU Football. Pathetic 4 years by Frank. GTFO.

That dumb shite is why Frank iscmoving on. Old school mentality which leads to bad personnel decisions.

Or it means the coach has lost trust in him.

He’s had a fumbling problem this year and I’m sure it’s something they have talked about. It is a bit old school but let’s not pretend this is something Frank Wilson invented.

Agree, I’ve never seen a perfect game played by every member on every team in any sport.. turnovers happen, it’s all part of the game..a coach sitting a player for the rest of the game for fumbling or not catching a pass doesn’t make much sense..it’s the coaches that are dumb not the players…

Right! But say Kyle Williams coached a unit where no player improved from last year and then he just quit on the team and watch how many people defend him. It’s kinda weird

Lsu needs to let Berry go to the portal, he's not worth the money. I've never see an LSU team like this one where it had no power backs like Guice and Fournette. Berry doesn't have the power to play in the SEC, he's quick but not quick enough for the SEC. Money should be spent elsewhere

Frank did it to piss off Berry. Frank is a damn snake oil salesman who fails as soon as he is put in a spotlight.

Hide him in the back and people think he is awesome.

Yep.

3 fumbles, 2 lost in 104 carries.

And it's not like LSU was running the ball a lot.

MVB - 11 carries - 4 were sacks so really 7 carries, totally guessing that 2 of those were scrambles and 5 of those were design QB runs or read option he pulled

Durham - 5 carries

Berry - 3 carries

Johnson - 3 carries

Thomas - 2 carries

It's very hard to play a guy that fumbles because it's hard to win games when you turn it over.

Berry has fumbled too much in limited work.

He better get it fixed because it's the kind of thing that can ruin your career.

If you notice….Berry fumbles too often to be in the game for double digit carries. Maybe if blocking gets better , Berry might do better.

This is crazy. Of course he has a role if used correctly. He’s not Percy Harvin, he just does not have that fearlessness. But he can be a version of this in what will be a layered offense:
