Kelly left it about the same as O
No way lsu can replace everything they need in the portal in one class

If the smoke is true then Lacy, not Berry, is your starting RB. But both would play a lot.

The thing with Kelly half assing everything is you had a roster of random 4 and 5 stars that didn’t really fit together in a coherent way. You had like a half dozen starting caliber WRs this season so that none of them really got the opportunity to develop. Made no sense. He was only concerned with keeping up the appearance of being a “recruiter” without ever building a team. Good riddance to that a-hole.

O:

Adams, Curne, Moore, Echols, Williams
Berry, Parker, Green, TaRon

D:
Reliford, McKinley, Breaux
Weeks, Weeks, Singleton, Keys
Pickett, Woodland, Spears, Cooley

I think a good number of portal kids stay.

If Indiana turned it around in one year, we certainly can. Granted, we will play a much tougher schedule than Indiana did in 2024, but we have more talent to start with. Don't underestimate the result of solid coaching and football discipline can have. Also, we need a better and more effective strength program.

But W's &L's will be dependent on finding the correct QB.

I think Singleton will be awesome next year. He should start next to Whit next year. He’s got tremendous athleticism for a LB.

Indiana doesn’t play in the SEC. Have you seen LSU’s schedule for next year? 9-10 wins next year would be a successful first season, especially with all the replacements we need at key positions.

I think you're right about portals staying. Surely, they are advised to enter the portal for leverage...but I suspect we will have at least 2 or 3 new starters on defense from transfers.

If Keys can't figure out pass coverage, you can scratch him off the list.

If that’s the case, someone should have advised Tyree Adams to not play like shite in his last audition.

I don’t think Berry is starter, that will be Kewan Lacy.

‘Nicholastiger’: it will be a tough task to fill all the gaps we have in one portal but it’s what we have to do. Some of our highest rated recruits are leaving because they realize it won’t be easy and they are not committed to the hard work ahead. I rather 120% effort from a 3 star than 60% effort from a 5 star.

Adams definitely took several plays off, missed assignments and hurt his portal status. He may just need to take the pay cut and work harder with the new LSU staff.

LSU's schedule for next year

Brutal. Probably the Tigers' most formidable lineup since 1988, when they faced Aggies, Auburn and Miami at home and Tennessee, Florida, Ohio State and Alabama on the road. A schedule concocted by a madman. This coming season may be worse-- 5 SEC road games, and Clemson, Texas, Aggies and Alabama at home. Not for the faint of heart.

Spears

I’m hoping one of the younger guys is able to jump Keys. He looks slow out there. Need more athleticism at that spot than what he gives.

I hope Spears sticks around but I’d like to see someone brought in to compete with him for the starting spot if possible.

It's more important that we assemble an O line that will enable Berry and Lacy to scamper into the opponents' backfield. And Durham needs to geaux. He wasn't at all the same this year as last, before he got hurt in the fifth game.
