Punch line:
“I mean, what are the odds of having two serial killers in the same car?”

I picked up 2 girls from Cornell in Cantwell, AK just outside of Denali and took them to Wasilla, where I was headed once in 1999.
Raining like hell in Cantwell.

No.. I had a friend who thought it was hilarious, when he saw a hitchhiker, blow the horn and pull over as if he was going to give them a ride and then when they got a little more than half way to his car he would pull off. I was able to witness him doing it one or two times. It was funny at first, but then everyone kept telling him he was going to do it to the wrong person who has a gun or that his car would break down as he was pulling off and he would get his arse whipped.. So he stopped doing it.

No. I wanted to but figured it’d be too awkward.
Especially if I had to murder them or proposition them for sex.

Here is the only hitchhiking story I got.
My dad was an over the road truck driver. Was on a trip with him one summer when i was about 13 or 14. We had been running all day with about 5 other truckers. At this time my dad was the last in our mini convoy. There was a hitchhiker/backpacker walking down side of interstate trying thumb a ride. Guess he got pissed when 4 straight trucks blew past him and decided to chunk his half full water bottle at my dad’s truck as we were passing. It hit the passenger side windshield. Didn’t do any damage but PISSED my dad off. He locked up the brakes and pulled off the side of the road and hopped out of the truck. In the mirror, I saw him grab his cheater pipe from behind the sleeper as he ran down the side of the trailer towards the hitchhiker. We were in a pretty rural area with woods on either side of interstate. The hitchhiker ran up into the woods and my dad ran after him. I got out and started to follow. As I got closer I could see thru the trees that my dad was wearing that dude out with that cheater pipe. He quit before I got all the way to them and started walking out and yelled at me to go back to the truck. We headed on down the road and neither of us said a word for about an hour. I finally asked my dad if he thought the dude might need an ambulance and without ever taking his eyes off the road he just said “Doubt it”. I’m 53 y/o now and have have never spoken to my dad about that incident since that one question. He is 76 and still alive. I have thought about asking him again before he is gone but not sure I really want to know.
Also witnessed him beat the shite out of some pervert in a beachside change house that he caught peeping thru a bathroom stall that my little brother was changing in and on another occasion watched him shove the barrel of a .357 down the throat of his best friend after finding out he was screwing my mom.
Love my father to no end but that dude is 5’10” and 175 lbs soaking wet and I don’t think I would ever bet against him in a fight.

Yes, but the last time (and I do mean THE last time) it was an old man with dementia that had wandered off. I ended up at the police station being questioned.

Yes…once at LSU. Gave some guy a ride from Walk-Ons area up to the North Gates near that ATV place. He started to want to go down some random roads up past the north gate and I refused. He got out without much a fuss. No idea how close to being a victim or not.
Also got picked up while walking to grab some mixers at Ole Miss. Me and buddy were walking to the store and a random guy (Ole Miss, not LSU fan) offered us a ride. We jumped in and took the ride. No issues and guy acknowledged Ole Miss didn’t stand a chance in the game.
Both events occurred around 2006 or 2007.
