Should we abolish prisons altogether and set up rehabilitation programs?

Specifically for death row inmates

These can be rehabilitated per some phds and scholars who believe rehabilitation is more impactful than incarceration.

These programs by these liberal arts graduates can cleanse and save the souls of the most vile and dangerous of our society.

Liberal Dem/Marxist judges are already implementing that program. The problem is that their idea or rehab is committing more crimes.

Greatest idea since defunding the police, Soros backed DAs, and no cash bail.

There is no greater deterrent than the death penalty. The recurrence rate there is 0%.

Only if the criminals, and their saviors, live on a remote island together for a year.

Definitely.

We see these cases where a person is burned alive in the subway and nobody ever thinks about the perpetrator's rights!

The people who allow criminals back onto the streets should have to live with them. Problem solved.

4cubs is always willing. She opens her home to parolees to rehab. Hell, just last week she told the judge she would take the two rapists to her home for rehabbing.

In all seriousness, if she could prove she takes in felony criminals to her home, I would maybe start hearing her out. I just know she wouldn’t do such a thing and is full of shite.

Might ought to consider habilitation first -- rehabilitation is far too downstream for this cast of characters

People that are engaged in violent crime and theft need to be imprisoned to ensure they don't do it to other people. Prisons could probably be reformed in some way to reduce recidivism but people need to be in time out for sure.

No, we should build large lakes so that we can bring prisoners to the middle. If they can swim to shore, they shave time off their sentences. If they don't make it, they failed to take advantage of one last opportunity.

Anything done with violence is capital punishment or jail time. Other crimes can be dealt with in a different manner depending on the crime. Way too many people in jail and no need to run prisons as a for profit center.
