Maury county TN Yanahli WMA
Up a cedar looking down and past a creek in hardwoods beside a hay field.

Foggy as shite, made the drive in fun. Not sure why I got up this tree 40 minutes before legal shooting time ... But I like the quiet. Heard a freaky owl, some other stuff walking around too

Wayne Co, Mississippi. Box stand overlooking hayfield. Family property, love this place. Was foggy last night but has since lifted.

Somebody shoot a big one so all this cold weather for rut hocus pocus will go away. Good luck to all out battling the skeeters this morning.

Apparently I just need to be pessimistic. Seen five deer before 7:00 and two of them were bucks (I think. I know one was. the other crossed at first daylight a ways away)

Foggy and no wind. Since this shite weather started, virtually nothing on camera, the few showing up are mommas still with babies hanging around. Only a couple of bucks off 4 cameras. Not even much at night.

Sat here yesterday afternoon, only saw 1 doe, and a cow horn spike that will be eradicated if he shows up this morning.

Hunting a creek bottom with my 30-06. Hot and foggy here. I made it in very late. It's been unusually quiet sp far outside of squirrels and birds making their usual noises.

This fog reminds me of a deer hunt my dad did during muzzleloader season a long time ago that we named the Foggy Bottom Massacre. He killed a doe and two yearlings with his muzzleloader in a creek bottom one foggy morning when deer were hard to come by. I'm not hoping to repeat but I'd love to see a set of antlers creeping by this morning.

Well I've heard 3 shots, none closer than half a mile, but that's still better than my past 5 hunts where I heard no shots. Let's go, I'm ready to at least see something! Fog is clearing, I don't plan to be around for sunny and 72.

A cool 90 degrees here in South Texas. It’s cooled down to 86

At least the wind is blowing so it doesn’t feel as hot as yesterday. .308 now but may switch to thermal and try going after pigs tonight if the LSU game sucks.
