LSU: Austin Simmons, R-Jr. (Ole Miss)

"Lane Kiffin invested two years getting Simmons ready to be his starting quarterback at Ole Miss, but the Florida native lost his job to Trinidad Chambliss after going down with an early-season injury. Simmons would also help bring some of the other Rebels with him to Baton Rouge."

I think we could do better. He didn’t look very good in the little playing time he had early in the year.

He’d be one of our best baseball players at least

He likes to get the ball out quickly and seems to lock in on first reads, threw some pretty bad picks doing this. He’s still young, maybe he can get better we shall see I guess.

Kiffin knows if Simmons is the QB he needs.

No. If Chambliss can’t get a waiver to play we need to get one of Sam Leavitt or Brendan Sorsby. I like Byrum Brown but he’s following his coach to Auburn by most people. My sleeper is Colton Joseph from Old Dominion. Good passer and ran for 1,006 yards this year.

Lane has his little tweets and always bashing the NCAA, I can guarantee they do not want to give him another year. If there’s an inkling of evidence that he will come to LSU, call me paranoid but I’m telling this is factoring in the small minds of this committee or board or panel or whatever the fk they are. They’re human I think.

We might need three QBs so I’m happy bringing him on as an advanced backup.

For the $$$ Value, Simmons makes sense.....
He knows the offense

W/Chambliss appeals happening, nobody knows if we will be back, if he comes back, Simmons a backup, something he does NOT want to be....

Sooooo he sits and HOPES to have a job
or he leaves now and is guaranteed a job

It’s been said that they will cast a wide net and then narrow it down. He’s definitely not the best that’s out there, but I’ll be good with whatever LK decides to do
