When did this become a thing? In Metairie at my MILs, and these morons are shooting fireworks. What a bunch of a-holes, people are trying to get their kids to sleep….you know the drill. Are they ignorant or just don’t give a shite?

If you are in a state where they are legal year round, count on it on every major holiday, or when someone gets drunk.

It sounds like 9pm on the 4th of July here on the west side of Houston.

For sure this wasn’t a thing to this degree 20 years ago in southeast Texas, and it seems like it has been getting worse every year.

An almost unfathomable level of disrespect and lack of awareness or decency for your neighbors.

…almost.

It’s a Hispanic thing. If ice was smart, they’d be following the booms

When diversity became our strength or something.

Nothing like potentially ruining a tradition because you want to bring 'your' tradition to the place giving you a better life.

Would it be possible for the Hispanic community to do this at a single location (similar to the bonfires)? I understand the concept of the fireworks but this seems rude and disrespectful to the tradition of the country that they are living in. I guess the United States citizens need to assimilate to the immigrants.

Mexicans celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day they relax and recoup from the festivities the night before
