With the ban looming, what do you think happens with THC beverages?

They’re absolutely perfect for taking the edge off. I’ve found that they hit the spot, especially after quitting drinking alcohol. It allows you to “imbibe” in a crowd/party without getting you all fricked up - at least at the volume currently legal (5mg) in LA. I’m absolutely incensed that dinosaur frick Mitch the Bitch McConnell slipped that shite in the funding bill. And further, I still can’t believe it happened.
So what is y’all’s best guess on what happens when the ban hits in Nov 2026? Currently 2 U.S. Senators (Ron Wyden and Jeff Merkley) have crafted a bill called the “Cannabinoid Safety and Regulation Act (CSRA)” which sets a national standard at 5mg. And Nancy Mace has tried to repeal the ban in the house already… so there is some pushback at least gestating.
This along with Trump rescheduling it, there has to be some kind of major attempt at some point to back this shite off, I’d think… right? There’s some big time operations already underfoot for these drinks. It was on track to be a nearly $30B valued industry by 2030. That’s some big tax revenue to net for the states. Some states have signaled they’ll ignore the ban. Some have already gotten hardline with it and began outlawing it already…

Regular use of cannabis, both marijuana smoking and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)-edibles consumption, is associated with vascular endothelial dysfunction in otherwise healthy young adult users, according to the CANDIDE study published May 28 in JAMA Cardiology.
Leila Mohammadi, MD, PhD, et al., conducted a cross-sectional study of 55 adults (mean age 31 years, 37% women) living in San Francisco who did not smoke tobacco or vape or were frequently exposed to secondhand smoke. Participants, recruited from October 2021 to August 2024, were placed into three cohorts: marijuana smokers or THC-edible users (three or more smoking sessions or three or more edibles per week for one or more year) or nonusers. Flow-mediated dilation (FMD) and carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity (PWV) were measured to evaluate vascular endothelial function and vascular wall stiffness, respectively.
Results showed that arterial FMD was significantly lower in both marijuana smokers and THC-edible users compared with nonusers (mean 6.0% vs. 4.6% vs. 10.4%, respectively). However, no significant differences were observed in PWV or pulse wave analysis.
Findings also demonstrated inverse correlations between FMD and the amount of cannabis use (weekly number of smoking sessions and amount of edible THC consumed), indicating worsening of endothelial function.
Notably, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-stimulated nitric oxide levels in endothelial cells treated with participants' sera were significantly lower in marijuana smokers (mean 1.1 nmol/L) than nonusers (1.5 nmol/L) but not in THC-edible users (mean 1.5 nmol/L).
Mohammadi and colleagues write that chronic cannabis use is "associated with endothelial dysfunction similar to that in tobacco smokers, although apparently occurring via distinct mechanisms." They add that "this study enhances the understanding of the potential risks to vascular health linked to cannabis use and provides more evidence that cannabis use is not benign."

Just like absolutely anything else that they give their focus and attention to, they are being paid by someone to give a shite. I just can't figure out who it could be in this situation. Well, maybe we'll Pfizer it out one day.

Here's the adult way of taking the edge off. Find out what is causing you to be edgy and work on that. It might make you a much better person in the process.

Somewhat better but both cause endothelial dysfunction. This and other studies lead to the conclusion that cannabis use carries some amount of health risk and the risk increases with heavier use. Just how much risk is yet to be determined but users should be aware of the research.

We should ban sugar. Or at least only sell sugary products to those of age to decide if they want to poison themselves.
