The stark difference in between women and men in explaining simple things

Watching various videos on how to make Greek Yogurt recently and it served as yet another reminder to me why it is so very difficult to follow many women when they are trying to explain how to do something. They get lost in the minutia, bounce around with random personal anecdotes, and all which make it so difficult to follow and remember, having to wade through over half the content just to get to the meat of the thing in how to do it. Stumble upon this dude and he keeps it simple stupid, abc, 123. That’s all I needed.
Why do women make everything so damn complicated? Is this why they can’t remember to follow simple driving directions?

Throughout human history, early men would die if they made a mistake; early women would die if the tribe decided to otherize and ostracize them. Now, how much of the expression of that in modern times comes down to nature versus nurture is ripe for debate, but I think it’s related.

I’m sorry that women confuse the OP.

A prime example of this is when you need to read a recipe on a blog, you have to sift through like 30 pages to get to the actual recipe.
Men have their issues with explaining things as well. If I have one more thing man-splained to me that I already understand I may lose my mind.

Women are always in an emotional state- I don’t say that as an insult- it’s that for them making that Greek yogurt is intensely emotional. Every step of it evokes emotions and the emotions are the whole point. To a man the yogurt is the whole point. We have limited steps in the yogurt process, they have the unlimited palette and endless colors that are their emotions.
This is why we hunt and fish and drink beer with other baws .

That’s my wife trying to tell someone a funny story, and when I cut in to get to the point/punchline, she gets irritated

I truly feel bad for some of you

You feel? I didn’t know psychopathic narcissists felt.

I hate this nonsense term so much. Just another word that is weaponized far more than it's used appropriately.

I love the Patrice O’Neal bit where he says he makes his lady tell him the end of the story first to see if he wants to hear it

It’s a difference in standard speech pattern. As an example, over the last decade and a half, I’ve found if I ask a male client a question that he wants to expound on, he will give me the answer and then go off on a long justification; if I ask a female client a question she wants to expound on, she will go off on a long justification and then, sometimes give me the answer. Sometimes, after the long justification, I have to repeat the question because she got so focussed on the justification that she lost track of the fact that she never answered what I asked. I almost never have male clients do that. But girls are unfortunately taught from an early age that being liked is extremely important, so I think subconsciously they don’t want to give an answer that could risk my “disliking” them (even though in reality I couldn’t care less) without first giving an explanation that may reduce that likelihood in their minds. But irrespective of the why, it makes it much more difficult to retain the conversation because of the order information is presented in.
As always, not all men or women, but just on average, in my experience.

It's triggering, I'll admit, because it takes a normal word and just dumps a bunch of "man = bad" on top. It makes the user look like a hater imo

Women are process thinkers, men are solution/goal-oriented thinkers. Things make a lot of sense when you understand and view interactions this way. Most women can't do gap analysis to arrive at a solution to a given problem, they want a process and the process itself becomes more important than solving the original issue.

The irony is getting the runaround will cause me to "dislike" far more than a undesirable straight answer would.
