Greatest Christmas gift this year

We always get cancer diagnosis threads here so I thought I’d come to the OT today with fantastic news.

For the past few weeks my wife has been to one doctor appointment after another with biopsies being performed after some concerning symptoms showed up and an ultrasound came back really fricking scary. It showed a large handful of very concerning signs of cancer. We hadn’t told a soul about it since we didn’t want to scare and worry family right before Christmas until we knew more. We had even reached out to MD Anderson in Houston and had some preliminary appointment info set up just in case. I was prepared to go bankrupt to treat it if it had turned out to be cancer.

Well this afternoon the biopsy results came in and everything is benign. We put on a front publicly but the two of us were honestly worried sick. This is such an enormous weight off our shoulders and this Christmas will be the best of our lives! Our prayers have been answered, but so many out there haven’t had theirs answered so we’re sending prayers above and beyond for anyone battling cancer this Christmas and I encourage you all to say an extra prayer for anyone not so lucky as we are this afternoon.
