This year's women's bb team is absolutely loaded and fun to watch!

Rarely do you see a team loaded with 5 stars gel so quickly and are more concerned about winning and not just putting up big numbers.
South Carolina transfer Fulwiley is a prime example. She may be the best player in the country and she's coming off the bench and doesn't mind it. How many times have you ever seen that happen?
If you haven't seen them play this year, you need to make it a point to catch a few games. Not only is this team the most talented LSU team ever, but they may be the frontrunner to win this year's NC!

We will see when they play a team with a pulse.

The thing that makes this team elite is they have a strong inside and outside game, which is a nightmare for opposing teams.

Not so fast; let’s see what they do against SEC opponents.

I've never understood or agreed with the OOC schedule she plays but it's her policy and she's arguably one of the 3 best coaches ever to coach women's hoops so I guess I defer to her on this.

They are going to need to develop some slightly different habits in tight SEC games - finishing layups, free throw shooting and especially, taking care of the basketball. They are playing super fast and loose right now with no apparent penalty due to the competition being so poor. I like Kim’s long time approach of easy non-conf but we have played some teams this year that are absolutely putrid. UT Arlington was definitely not the worst opponent i’ve seen if you can believe that.
They are elite, that is for sure. Knox will be an all time great. Fulwiley is the best pure athlete I have ever seen on the women’s bb court and SO fun to watch. They will just need to adjust. Kim will get them there though. She’s building chemistry and confidence. My call is elite 8, and possibly final four. Impossible to predict a natty. Always some luck involved in winning a natty.

They smoked Duke at Duke.
Sure they’re having a down year but it’s still Duke at Duke and they curb-stomped them

I'd honestly be disappointed in that. I think this is the deepest and most talented team Kim has had since she's been here.

You are correct and Kim has confirmed this. According to Kramer his mom is extremely excited about this team and loves going to work each day to coach them. Anyone who has watched this team play sees the depth and talent.

Every year I get excited to watch LSU WBB. Then I finally catch one of the big games and am reminded that women’s basketball is legitimately hard to watch even if you support one of the teams.

I'm ready for them to play someone with a heartbeat.

I dropped a bet on them for the NC on Draft kings. I figured why not i saw some games they looked pretty good

The goal every year is a NC. Kim has set the standard high. At this stage, I’m not predicting Final Four just yet. This team is definitely one of the top eight in the country but I don’t know yet about top four.
Joyner and Koval were not ranked among the top transfer bigs in the country despite some crowing on here that we got Wilt Chamberlain and Karl Malone when we got them. Remains to be seen how they’ll match up against the bigs of UCLA and UConn. I think we are going to feel not having a superstar power forward to succeed Reese and Morrow once the competition notches up.
Depth is better but in SEC and the tourney, the rotations will get shorter. This team is definitely Elite Eight. Final Four? Maybe but not a dead certainty. NC? Boy, that’s gonna be tough but not out of the realm of possibility.

I assume you mean doubts on how good they are because they have absolutely been fun to watch.
I think we are seeing a coaching clinic by Mulkey. It helps that she assembled a nice mix of talented players. The freshman girls are as advertised. She convinced Fulwiley to come off the bench in a way that is working like a charm. And the veterans have embraced the newcomers. This team has a chance to win it.

Going to be funny when the team loses its first League game. All the haters here will go into over drive. Ignoring the fact, like college baseball, the League is loaded with Top 10 teams. Hate all you want but I'm just enjoying the great athleticism of this team.

There is nothing fun about women’s basketball.

quote:Koval and Joyner are a great improvement over Rosario and Wolf but they are going to have to get meaner especially when Texas and SCar come. Texas has looked unstoppable already taking out SCar and UCLA easy.
tight SEC games
quote:that's not the full story of the game. Dukes shooting was unusually good when they came out against LSU. They spotted them over a dozen points and still smoke them. Duke hasn't lived up to their number 7 ranking at the beginning of the season but they are a good defensive team and LSU scored more points on them than anybody else this season.
They smoked Duke at Duke.
