Pt. a la Hache area, killed limits of teal. No big ducks were seen. Water fell out on us really fast and one boat got stuck.

Bayou black. Limits on Saturday. Teal and ringnecks.

Didn’t fire a shot this morning. Crazy.

Same Bayou Black, Saturday 4 ringnecks, today 3 teal and 1 ringneck. Hunted till 10 both days. Pathetic and miserable.

Sounds like the teal are taking a beating across the state this year. Ive killed more teal this season than ringnecks

Still struggling. Scouted Friday and saw mostly dogris, a few grays and mottles. Saturday morning 3 of us hunted - 6 dogs, missed a pair of grays, covered a teal and it flew away. When the feds gonna up the limit dogs???

3 men in blind.
Ducks flaring outside the decoys
Even spoons wouldn’t make a second pass.
Killed 5 teal

Sucked donkey balls and the blinds to the east of us (Cheneyville) melted barrels as usual.

First year in several I got a blind and not worth it.

Lecompte/Cheneyville area.

If I had a dollar for every time I’ve read that sentiment here in the last ten years I’d have a helluva nice duck lease up north.

Venice area

Saturday - two man limit. Mixed bag of pintail, few widgeon, and teal.

Fog was bad on Sunday and only killed three. Did not see many ducks at all as we poked around the lease to see what was going on. Looks like the ducks got up and left Saturday night.

Saturday - lots of ducks, but between them staying outside the decoys and other blinds shooting at the exact wrong time, we did poorly.

Sunday - hunted alone and could not see shite the entire morning. Hundreds of ducks in my rice on the walk in and listened to mostly spoons all morning. I could not see ducks until it was too late for the most part. On the positive side, the specs could not see shite and I killed my 2 easily. Could have killed 50. In a really strange development, a group of woodies came in range and I got two. No idea what that group was doing there.

WTF brah?!? I took home 2 specklebellies. That’s a great day for me.

I smoked the teal and spoonie. Not sure the spoon is gonna make the gumbo. It smelled rancid.
