Everyone wanted the young man to step up his competition. He did just that.

"Just got out of surgery," Paul wrote on social media. "Everything went smooth. Thanks for all the love. Lots of pain and stiffness. Gotta eat liquids for 7 days. 2 titanium plates on each side. Some teeth removed.
"Shoutout to the amazing team at Miami University hospital. Everyone was so gracious and caring."

Turns out all he had to do was fight an actual pro boxer

Can you have actual “jaw surgery” with a full beard?
No sure?
I only ask because this guy is always looking for attention.

I wondered the same. But I believe they go in through the mouth

There are weight classes for a reason.
Jake Paul thinking he could fight a legit heavyweight was insane.

Too bad he will be able to talk again.

why such vitriol and hate against Jake Paul?
i know nothing about him other than all posts against him are so over the top and angry…then I watch the fight and it ends and he’s just happy/smiling, taking a broken jaw and missing teeth in stride, thanking God and talking about loving the USA

My son had a cranial vault reconstruction (removal and reconstruction of the forehead put simply) and they never cut his hair.

I don't get all the hate either.
The guy is literally living the American dream and lifting up everyone he can along the way. He made himself into a household name and is a self made multimillionaire.
There isn't a bigger boxing fan on this site than me and I don't even hate on the guy. He's doing what none of the supposed top boxers in the sport can (or won't) do. Even walking around casuals knows who he is. The US hasn't had that since Oscar was in his prime. None of the current fighters on the scene has an ounce of charisma. Maybe Ryan Garcia and he certainly has his baggage.
He's worked his arse off to get better and has gotten better. Was he ever going to beat Anthony Joshua? Hell no but neither was 99.99% of the other humans on the planet.
Listen to to what the other fighters that are signed to his promotional company say about him and how he treats them. They love the guy. Especially ones that were once signed to Top Rank, Matchroom, or one of the other promoters.

Because he’s a loud mouth self promoter that’s famous for being fricking stupid on social media who has arranged for fights against WELL over the hill fighters/boxers that’s he’s much younger than and often times bigger than.
There’s also serious evidence that he’s been paying the formerly elite fighters to tank fights, just look at the Tyson fight where Tyson had 3-5 opportunities to knock him the frick out but he literally pulled back the punch.
After all of this, Paul still acts like a complete buffoon/dickhead and talks like he’s actually won anything from a competitive standpoint.
That’s why there is the vitriol

so because he’s a “loud mouth self promoter” and cocky (aren’t mix boxers/fighters? again I know very little about the sport) and he posts on social media we get posts like “I hope he takes his fricking head off” over and over again and that’s rational?
I can get pulling against him and hoping he loses, but the hate just seems so over the top for someone who seems like a pretty good dude. Has he done anything negative to anymore? It seems like all he’s done is elevated the sport of boxing. I watched the end of the fight and just saw him taking the loss (and broken jaw) in stride and smiling. The hate just seems so over the top

It’s not just that he’s a self promoter. He’s an obnoxious self promoter. He makes Connor mcgregor look modest, and mcgregor has at least one something.

Props to Jake an American legend

I'm a huge Jake Paul fan, but even he knew he was outgunned before this fight began. I know he wanted to see where he stood. He now realizes what it takes to be that king of the mountain in boxing.

Yeah, man, there's never been loud mouth self promoters in boxing. All the best fighters and promoters are the quiet ones.

Is broken jaw and this surgery typically a career ender for boxers? Does the titanium stay in or would it have to be removed before returning to ring?

First real boxer and he gets killed. Without an agreement, he’s probably drooling and sucking down food through a straw with a brain injury.
I heard the MFer was on his knees the entire time “boxing.”
How he bagged Jutta Leerdam makes no sense. Disease ridden looking MFer must be paying her a lot to marry him.
