I know people that talk like that. I don't think it is fake, exaggerated- probably.
Now, Justin Wilson's accents wasn't Cajun and was hokie and corny as hell, but people loved it.

My wife gets homicidal when I watch her videos. That accent is hard on the ears.

It is really easy. Market is too flooded. I have about 30 local seasoning. I stopped accepting them. I sell one where the guy told me he told the company to mix Tonys and Slap Ya Mama. They did it. That's what his seasoning is.
